ANN MARIE-FELLOM

As a three-decade veteran of Light Metal Age. Ann Marie has inimate experience working in every facet of the magazine. In 1993, she assumed the role of publisher of the family-run publication. Under her management, Light Metal Age has maintained its position as the preeminent magazine of the light metal industry and was recognized as the Official Magazine for the ET Seminars in 2008, 2012, and 2016. Ann Marie is responsible for setting the magazine's editorial direction and developing marekting opportunities.

President, Page Trucking

Upon graduation, Mr. Titus pursued a career in the financial market and after several years of successful trading and sales he joined the family business. Through countless hours and miles on the road, he was able to return the business to profitability following a near catastrophic downturn. Over his tenure, he has successfully restored and rebuilt the business to not only a North American presence as the larges molten metal hauler, but a trusted resource in the specialized freight industry for solving problems and creating relationships that bring value to everyone in the supply chain. His work with the OEM producers and the Mill’s to close loop input materials with byproduct or waste materials, coupled with his recruitment of some of the brightest talent in both the metals and waste markets, has charted a course for Page Transportation, Page E.T.C. (Environmental Transportation Company), Page Material Management and Page M.T.C. (Molten Transportation Company) to redefine what a material management company can and should do to drive value. Mr. Titus attended Ithaca College, obtaining a bachelor degree in business.

DR. DENNIS HARWIG

Chief Innovation & Transition Officer, LIFT and Ohio State University

Dr. Harwig started his career as a welder, and has grown to include a range of applied research and industrial experience with GE Aerospace, Babcock & Wilcox, Edison Welding Institute, Thermadyne Industries and American Welding Society. He has held the titles of Director of Global Engineering, VP of Global Engineering and VP of Global Quality and CTO. Dr. Harwig joined The Ohio State University’s American Lightweight Materials & Manufacturing Innovation Institute as Chief Innovation & Transition Officer. Working with industry, he developed commercialization opportunities based on research innovations. He has published 110+ presentations, proceedings, journal articles and EWI Core Research Reports; served on 9 AWS committees and 3 IIW committees; and developed 8 patents. He earned his BS and MS in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University and a PhD in Welding Engineering Technology from Cranfeld University.

DOUG RICHMAN

Vice President of Engineering and Technology, Kaiser Aluminum

Mr. Richman is Vice President of Engineering and Technology for Kaiser Aluminum. He joined Kaiser in their casings and forgings business unit and was appointed to his current role. Before joining Kaiser, he was Vice President of Automotive Casings for Alcan Aluminum. His background also includes almost 20 years of experience in development and design management at General Motors. Mr. Richman has been a long-term member the Executive Committee of the Aluminum Association’s Aluminum Transportation Group (ATG) and is Chairman of the technical sub-committee. He also serves as Co-Chairman of the SAE Light Metals Committee. Mr. Richman holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the General Motors Institute (currently Kettering University) and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and operations research from the University of Detroit. He is a registered professional engineer in Michigan.

JEFF HENDERSON

Jeff Henderson is President of AEC, The Aluminum Extruders Council. Mr. Henderson joined AEC in early 2014 as Director of Operations, and was elected president in 2016. A 25-year veteran of the industry, Jeff was responsible for all of Sapa North America’s branding, commercial strategies, business development and applications using aluminum extrusions prior to joining AEC. In 2015, Jeff purchased The Sanford Organization (TSO), an association management company that manages trade associations. In addition to the AEC, TSO also manages the Aluminum Anodizers Council, the Aluminum Recyclers Council, and the International Fair Trade Alliance.

JEROME FOURMANN

Technical Director, Global Customer Support and Product Development – Commercial, Primary Metal Aluminum, Rio Tinto

Mr. Fourmann serves as Technical Director, Global Customer Support and Product Development for the aluminum metal group of Rio Tinto. Since joining Rio Tinto (formally Alcan), he has utilized his technical expertise to support customers and the market development of value added product in aluminum extrusion. He serves and provides guidance on committees at The Aluminum Association, ASTM, AAMA and AEC. In addition of being a regular presenter at industry conferences, Mr. Fourmann has authored several papers and is a contributing editor for Light Metal Age. Jerome holds a MS degree in Metallurgy from ESFF, University of Paris France.

JOE QUINN

Vice President, Public Affairs

The Aluminum Association

Joe Quinn leads The Aluminum Association’s external affairs operation designed to grow markets and achieve policy outcomes for the domestic aluminum industry.

Quinn is responsible for creating and implementing advocacy strategies that advance legislative priorities and enhance industry reputation. He heads the government relations, communications and political affairs divisions of the Association’s integrated public affairs function.  Quinn serves as the Corporate Secretary and on the interim Executive Leadership Team.  Since his arrival in 2013, the Association has continued to raise its profile among federal policymakers, grow the Aluminum PAC, and score legislative victories on behalf of the membership.

KEVIN PERSON

CEO, Wagstaff, Inc

Mr. Person has served the aluminum industry for 41 years, including 21 years with Kaiser Aluminum at several domestic and international locations in various positions within their engineering, maintenance, technical sales and customer service organizations. He joined Wagsaf as Application Engineering Manager and became Vice-President Sales and Marketing. He was named Chief Executive Officer and serves on the Board of Directors of The Aluminum Association and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Greater Spokane Incorporated, the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Association of Washington Business Board of Directors. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.

KEN WILLINGS

Senior Vice President, Health, Safety & Environmental, Aleris

Mr. Willings has more than 35 years of EHS experience in the manufacturing industry, including plant and corporate level positions. Mr. Willings has governance and program development experience in the Aluminum and Chemical industries, including the setting of corporate policies, initiatives and the development and implementation of audit programs regarding Health, Safety, Environment, Transportation, and Product Compliance/Stewardship aspects for multiple manufacturing organizations. In addition, he has engaged with professional and trade associations regarding development and implementation of environmental regulations at the local, state and federal levels. Mr. Willings has served as Senior Vice President, HS&E at Aleris. He has been an active member in industry trade associations and EHS professional organizations throughout his career and is presently active in Aluminum Association committees. Mr. Willings earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University.

DR. KEVIN ANDERSON

Corporate Fellow, Mercury Marine

Dr. Anderson is a member of The National Academy of Engineering, TMS, and a Fellow of ASM. He received his BS, MS and PhD in metallurgical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Anderson was a NORCUS fellowship recipient at Battelle Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, leader of aircraft materials and physical metallurgy at Reynolds Aluminum Research, and is presently a Senior Fellow for Brunswick Corporation in the Mercury Marine Division in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.

MOHAMAD EL ZEIN

Advanced Materials and Mechanics, Deere & Company

Mr. El Zein, has a PhD in Engineering Mechanics from VA Tech and a MBA from St. Ambrose University. Throughout his career, he has worked in advanced materials, mechanics, testing and simulation. He has led many projects in advanced composite design, simulation and experimental duty cycle and analysis. For the past 10 years, he has led the Advanced Materials & Engineering Mechanics, where his responsibilities include Aluminum, AHSS, Magnesium, and Advanced Composites. These responsibilities spanned design, joining, methodology development, simulation, and Analysis.

ANTHONY TROPEANO

President of TT Consulting Inc.

Mr. Tropeano has successfully spent 40 years of his professional career in the ferrous and non-ferrous industries. His career began as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Italimpianti of America, Inc. In 1994 he joined the Italian company FATA where he held several executive leadership positions. For many years, he successfully led FATA’s two operating divisions, FATA Hunter (world leader in engineering and equipment manufacturing for the aluminum flat rolled product industries) and FATA EPC (supplier of complete plants on a LSTK-EPC basis), as Chief Executive Officer. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of FATA S.p.A. in 2016. Thanks to his extensive global experience and his inspiring leadership in business development and in establishing relationships, he introduced the company to new markets and diversified sectors with great success. In February 2018 he set up his own company, TT Consulting Inc., providing management consulting services for metals, mining and contracting sectors. Mr. Tropeano earned an undergraduate degree from Jersey City State College and an MBA from Farleigh Dickinson University. During his career, he has been a participating member in industry associations, including, TMS, ECCA, AISE, NCCA and he was on the Board of Directors and one of the founding members of EU Metallurgy located in Brussels.

MICHAEL MANDL

Group Vice President, ALUMINUM USA

Having spent a large portion of his career with Reed Exhibitions, the world’s leading event organizer, Mr. Mandl has focused on emerging markets, including India, Austria, Germany and Russia, and most recently, the United States. Michael has a very successful track record in developing and translating strategies into growing businesses and ensuring profitable business outcomes. His successes have optimized multiple events across a diverse B2B platform, elevated the value of new events and increased value for customers while maximizing business profits. Michael recently joined Reed Exhibitions US as a Group Vice President managing an industrial portfolio, including Buildings NY, ALUMINUM USA and INTERPHEX.
