ALUMINUM USA: premiere well on track / Light Metal Age on board as main media partner

July 07, 2015

The debut of ALUMINUM USA in Detroit on 11 and12 November is fast approaching, and the list of exhibitors and partners is growing steadily. Numerous international companies have registered to participate. With the trade magazine Light Metal Age, the trade show just brought on board a key media partner and additional supporter. Light Metal Age is the most important US magazine dedicated to the primary production and processing of aluminium.

“Light Metal Age is the ideal media partner for ALUMINUM USA. Together we’ll be able to reach the aluminium processing industry in the US and beyond. Plus, we think that by working with our partners we have the potential to develop ALUMINUM into the industry’s No. 1 gathering place in North America”, says Michael Koehler, Industry Vice President Reed Exhibitions USA.

Organiser Reed Exhibitions is very satisfied with the booking situation for the first ALUMINUM USA. Three months ahead of the show, more than 80 exhibitors form 16 nations have confirmed their participation in ALUMINUM USA’s debut. Lots of companies from Canada, Europe and Asia will be joining key US players such as ABB, Almex, Bloom Engineering, Granco Clark and Wagstaff at the inaugural event. The list ranges from Japan’s UACJ to SMS from Germany to Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche from Italy. A total of 100 exhibitors and up to 2,000 trade visitors are expected to attend the premiere in November.

Around the world with ALUMINIUM trade fairs

“With our ALUMINIUM trade fairs, we’re offering the aluminium industry‘s largest network worldwide”, says Olaf Freier, the new global brand manager for ALUMINIUM trade fairs. Half of the companies exhibiting in Detroit also exhibit as “Global Partners“ of the ALUMINIUM trade fairs at two or more of the other events hosted by the worldwide trade fair brand – either at the World Trade Fair in Germany or at one of the spin-off events in China, India, the United Arab Emirates and Brazil. “The fact that so many ‘Global Partners’ leverage our ALUMINIUM trade fairs around the globe is a clear indicator for the success of our concept”, says Olaf Freier.

The first ALUMNUM USA will take place at the Cobo Center in Detroit on 11 and 12 November. Adding the new trade show to its portfolio, Reed Exhibitions – the world’s largest organiser of trade fairs and conventions – continues to expand its global operations. ALUMINUM USA joins the ALUMINIUM World Trade Fair in Germany (Düsseldorf) and aluminium shows in China (Shanghai), India (Mumbai), the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and Brazil (São Paulo) as the sixth industry event. The trade show is slated to take place in Detroit every other year from now on. The show is organised in cooperation with the Aluminum Association, the US industry’s trade group.
